ANABELA VELOSO & KARIN WESTERMARK

The audio walk will be accessible during Tiny Park Festival by scanning a QR code at the Tiny Park site, beside OPI Lab, Gröndalsvägen 1. To participate, bring a smart phone and headphones. Duration: 15 minutes

On Friday 31 May, 13:00-15:30, Anabela and Karin give a guided walk around Lövholmen. Meeting point: Tiny Park site, beside OPI Lab, Gröndalsvägen 1.

Anabela Veloso and Karin Westermark approach site, memories and histories from different perspectives, unearthing the materials that have sedimented and built a context for and full of life.

Anabela’s perspective is that of an artist who frequently engages with personal narratives and the politics of care, on a human, interpersonal scale. Karin’s interest as a landscape architect centers around our perception and physical connection to space, often integrating natural phenomena and ephemeral aspects in her projects.

But, no one called it Lövholmen is an audio walk which overlays historical and personally retold stories of the area today referred to as Lövholmen. It unravels the experiences of someone who grew up in the social housing on the industrial area; and is thus an attempt to map and imagine (oneself) in the past and present simultaneously.

The audio walk is a fictionalized narrative based on interviews with real people.
