The Wretched Painter is one of the self-instituted alter egos of John Maclean: a plein-air painter who investigates his surroundings by setting up his easel, brushes and oil paints and getting to work in public. His encounters and exchanges with passersby inform and feed into Maclean’s artistic practice and projects, including in the form of video blogs for The Wretched Painter YouTube channel.

Around noon each day during the Tiny Park Festival, The Wretched Painter will be travelling on the tram that passes between Trekanten and Gröndal – a fleeting cameo and a glitch in the everyday rhythms of passersby. The tram passes the Tiny Park site at 11:58 on Thursday 30  May and Friday 31 May, and at 12:03 on Saturday 1 June.
