JULIA

Julia Andersson is an architect trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK) in Copenhagen, currently based in Stockholm. She creates site-specific installations through multidisciplinary collaborations, blending architecture, art, and urban planning with a humanistic approach.

Her work is characterized by sensory experiences, using on-site resources to create sustainable designs. This includes building with clay and straw, transforming ocean plastics into playful installations, and creating sacred spaces that catalyze urban development.

Julia has initiated numerous projects and won several competitions, including LAGI 2020 Fly Ranch with The Loop, featured in Dezeen, Forbes, and 'Land Art of the 21st Century'. She also won the Open Call Frihamnen Prototype Göteborg 2023 and served as the concept developer for the Zaatari refugee classroom project, which was named Building of the Year 2018 by ArchDaily.
