Stefan
Stefan Pedersen is an artist based in Copenhagen whose practice covers sound, music, still and moving images, as well as teaching and various other forms of organizing and facilitating. Stefan often works collaboratively, for one, as part of the group Ectoplasmic Materialism, which since 2014 has worked to conjure and make visible the lost labour power embedded in institutional and individual histories through workshops, seances, conversation, and song.
In his work, Stefan seeks out the unstable relations between past and present moments, with the conviction that history is not wholly causal or already given.
Recently he has been interested in the productive potential of transmission as distinct from the notion of communication.
